Patient Advocate Support
Guidance from a Certified Caregiving Advocate
Navigating medical equipment, insurance requirements, and healthcare documentation can feel overwhelming. Our Patient Advocate is here to make the process clearer by serving as a helpful point of contact for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
Vital Doctors Medical Equipment has a Certified Caregiving Advocate available to support patients and caregivers with the following:

- Discuss your prescribed equipment needs and available options
- Explain the general steps required to obtain durable medical equipment
- Coordinate with your physician or referral office to request orders and supporting medical records
- Verify insurance eligibility and available benefits
- Help identify documentation or prior-authorization requirements
- Explain estimated deductibles, coinsurance, and other potential out-of-pocket costs
- Provide updates on the status of your equipment request
- Coordinate delivery, setup, and equipment-use instructions
- Answer questions and connect you with the appropriate member of our team
Our goal is to help you understand what is needed, keep the process moving, and make informed decisions about your care and equipment.
Insurance verification does not guarantee coverage or payment. Final coverage is determined by the patient’s health plan and depends on eligibility, medical necessity, supporting documentation, authorization requirements, and applicable plan provisions.
